Celebrating 10 year’s since the launch of its hero anti-ageing Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, British spa brand Elemis announces the launch of its new Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, a treatment balm formulated from a blend of active aromatherapy oils to nuture and deeply cleanse the skin.

Noella Gabriel, Elemis Treatment and Product Development Director explains: “We wanted to recreate that so distinctive feeling of walking into an Elemis spa and how that makes you feel; inhaling the distinctive, powerful aromatics that relax you and your skin.”

The balm’s fusion of oils and waxes has been developed to breakdown makeup, particularly long-wear formulations.  It is suitable for all skin types and will be availble from March.  Elemis will also launch a limited edition of its award winning anti-ageing Pro-Collagen Marine Cream to mark the product’s 10th anniversary.  The extact of padina pavonica – a key ingredient in the Pro-Collagen system – increases skin elasticity, suppleness and firmness.  The new cream will be available nationwide from April.

UK women have admitted to keeping make-up for years after it expires, exposing themselves to infection.

Women stored eyeshadow for the longest, with the average woman hoarding the item for seven years – six years after its expiry date, according to a survey by online beauty retailer escentual.com.

Lipstick and foundations were next, with women keeping hold of them for an average of four years and three years respectively after their use by date.

The survey found that face powder, blusher and bronzer were replenished the most often.
